My Radon Test Came Back High — Now What?
A confirmed high result changes the timeline. Here's what Health Canada's guideline means for your next step.
It's a confirmed result, not an estimate
A test result above 200 Bq/m³ isn't a risk factor anymore — it's a measurement. Health Canada recommends mitigation within two years for results between 200 and 600 Bq/m³, and within one year above 600 Bq/m³.
Next step: a site visit, not a guess
A confirmed high reading is the point to book a mitigation site assessment. The system design depends on your foundation type, so the next real step is someone looking at the house, not a system ordered off a phone call.
