What to Ask a Radon Contractor Before You Hire One
A few direct questions separate a measurement-first contractor from a sales-first one.
Questions worth asking
Will they quote a mitigation system without a site visit? A phone estimate can't account for foundation type, access, or how far a vent pipe has to run — a firm number should come after someone looks at the house.
Is the installer C-NRPP certified, and is that verifiable in the C-NRPP public directory? Every C-NRPP certification is publicly checkable.
Does the price include a post-installation verification test? A mitigation job isn't complete until a follow-up measurement confirms it actually brought levels down.
